SEO, Title Tags and Rankings: CM Site Review #5

This week's site review is OneTakeMedia.net. Solid site but it has the potential to grab a top 10 ranking for their best phrase with a few tweaks.

And yes, that's my head talking in the video. Let me know if it's eerily horrifying, helpful or not worth the effort of actually combing my hair:

Ian Lurie of Conversation Marketing reviews OneTakeMedia.net for SEO-readiness, and makes some suggestions about canonicalization, as well as title tags.

Thanks for another great video treatment, Ian. You've become part of my Sat. morning routine. For what's it's worth, I like your talking head. It somehow adds a level of communication that makes it easier to take in the presentation. Keep up the good work.

A really nice vid, Ian, and I agree with Harry, the talking head is fine.

Learned a lot on this one. Gotta go back and get rid of my blog archives links. So easy! How did I miss that?!

Keep it up!

Hi there,

great stuff, definitely learnt some new things.

Re: the bar you have installed, that shows linkbacks etc - where can I get this from/what is it called?

@jayson It's SEOMOZ's MozBar. You must be a paying subscriber of their service to get all the link data, though.

J/K!

I'll get right on those things. I really appreciate the time you put into the review!

Talking head looks great. What software did you use to make this presentation?

@Anthony I use Screenflow on OSX. I also use a Canon GL2 for the talking head cam.

I quite liked the talking head! It should stay!

Great review Ian (and nice to put a face next to the name J)

For future reviews, you might want to cover a few potential domain related issues like shared Vs. dedicated hosting, fix IP address Vs. temp IP address, whois transparency etc. It should take about 30 seconds to cover and could be included in your on-site optimization tips.

Hope this makes sense.

Wow, a lot of great comments! I'm glad my misteps and goof ups with my site have brought some benefit to others.

I'm please to say we have resolved all but two of the items Ian talked about.

I look forward to reporting here the results after a few weeks. :-)
