Bing's PPC Meltdown

I don't try to find ways to pick on Microsoft's marketing techniques.

It's just that they make it so easy.

The folks at Bing have decided to buy pay per click ads on Google Adwords. Not a bad idea.

But they need to learn a bit about phrase and exact match, I think:

Yes, they look silly for bidding on poorly targeted phrases.

However, it's really genius and fits perfectly with their marketing message. They say other search engines give you bogus results and in this case they are making Google return bad results. Makes sense to me.

Hey, if they got the money, why not put "search" on broad match? you saw it and showed it thousands of people... mission accomplished
