the fat free guide to Google Analytics

Google Analytics 2.0 has some great upgrades. The best ones, though, center around easier data exploration and discovery. Avinash has some great pointers, and I’ve finally done an video tutorial about it:

You might want to keep count. I believe I said ‘notice’ at least 100 times…

    Ian:
Great tutorial, I enjoyed it very much and learned a few things along the way.
(Would you mind dropping me a note about how you produced this video? I might give it a try as well!)

PS: For the traffic sources report you can’t see the raw numbers. Feedback duly noted.
    PPS: I only counted “notice” 68 times! : )

    Hi Avinash,
Thanks! Just sent you a note regarding the tools I used.
Only 68 – wow. If I were Steve Jobs there’d already be a bunch of YouTube videos…

You might want to check out www5min.com. Their embedded video player is great for such tutorials as they allow controlling the speed of the video as well as other cool features that might be helpful.

You’ve really made it easy, even when this version of GA is more useful we all were familiarized with the old one and the change was too much, if google wants to bring more usabilty to their users they should think in make some tutorials of this kind, 10 minutes and i love GA again… Good work!

Thank you for taking the time to give new users an insight to the workings of the GA software. There are so many scammers out there looking to charge big bucks to do it for you, knowing that resources for this info are limited. Can’t wait to learn more from you!

Oh, I charge big bucks, too. But these are a nice intro. :)
